The official booking opened on Tuesday last week at 9am but few callers if any were able to get through.
We were told to try at 11am then 1pm without any improvement, then Wednesday at 10am.
Apparently the reason was the popularity of Glasgow Central Station which led to unprecedented demand and the system crashing.
However, I now learn that nearly all the places for this venue are full and may have been filled by people who went on to the booking system before the official opening times.
If this is the case, then these people are cheats, whose behaviour is being condoned by organisers who are saying that bookings made will be honoured.
No doubt this will suit the organisers, but it is still unacceptable.

Rules of road
HAVING noticed more cyclists without proper protective gear (helmets, reflective clothing etc) in Glasgow, especially in the fine weather, failing to obey the rules of the road I would like to suggest that car drivers won't respect them until:
l They obey the highway code like all road users;
l They have to undergo a more stringent test;
l They are taxed and insured;
l They wear a number plate so they don't remain anonymous when they cause accidents.

THE massive concerts in Bellahouston Park (Evening Times, August 22) recently upset the older residents in the area and police presence was a total shambles.
Hopefully any future events will be held in a stadium or at Strathclyde Park.
