It's hard to believe that we now have a Tory Government with a bigger majority.

This has been an election campaign fought out in the media, focusing totally on the leaders of the various parties.

In my neck of the woods it has been a lack lustre campaign. If it hadn't been for the various leaflets that dropped through my letterbox, I would hardly have known there was an election.

No razzamatazz and no party activists at the polling station to remind me who to vote for. I do hope that the victorious MP's who were voted in, largely on the coat tails of Nicola Sturgeon who without doubt, is a superb Politician, will be worthy of the votes cast in their favour, both in their constituencies and at Westminster.

I watched David Cameron's Cabinet re-shuffle. He has again put Iain Duncan Smith in charge of Work and Pensions. I pray that Nicola Sturgeon will use the powers to curb his glee in hitting in hitting the poor and needy. I urge Ms Sturgeon to make this her main priority when she goes to Westminster. This is a priority.

I hope all those who voted SNP in the election do not spend the next five years complaining about the Tory government they have helped to elect.

The Scottish Lion may have roared but it will be toothless at Westminster.

David Cameron has a majority and does not need to grant any concessions to Scotland no matter how much the deluded masses rant.

Any new Labour leader will not collude with the SNP if he/she ever wishes to win again.

I really despair about how easily the people of this country have been brainwashed by the SNP. They have condemned us to five more years of the Tories after decimating the only party who could ever hope to beat them.

Glasgow city council should try to use innovation and creativity to put George Square as a number one tourist attraction? One way would be to emulate New York's idea of having tables and chairs for people to sit down and enjoy the surroundings. Another would be to install fountains in monuments to clean off bird droppings. Lastly, have a falcon to patrol the area to scare away the ever increasing nuisance of pigeons and seagulls.
