I'VE just read in the Evening Times that the council intend to close two care centres because they are no longer financially viable.

Given that scenario, when will the council make a similar hard-nosed business assessment of the situation that results in highly paid top council officials being granted free city centre parking spaces solely to save them the £50 per week.

If they city cannot afford adult care centres that are not financially viable then we certainly cannot afford to provide free city centre parking spaces for anyone for no good reason.

Council leader Gordon Matheson could very quickly explain exactly how the council and the city benefits from providing these spaces or bring this situation to an immediate end. It would cost nothing to do either so why isn't it happening.

NOW that the prices at the pumps have gone down, why haven't taxi/ bus fares and transport costs gone down.

When the price goes up they use that as an excuse to put everything up. Should it not work the other way when prices go down.

I THINK all the party leaders should face a Question Time format individually, with questions coming from the general public without any editing.

These debates between party leaders usually descends into trying to score points off each other. One hour of questioning from the public would show these people up.

The Scots, The Welsh and the Northern Irish leaders could have their own local programmes. I know it won't happen because none of them would be prepared to do it.

THE First Minister speaking at Westminster says the Tories and Ukip would put 300,000 EU related jobs at risk if they take us out of Europe. Does she forget a yes vote at the Referendum would have taken Scotland out of Europe and who knows what would have happened to these jobs by the time the first Minister negotiated

our re-entry to the EU.
