I lost my bus pass last Friday in the city centre I received it back today in the post with a note from the person but they never gave their name.

If they are reading this can I just say a big thank you.

This person has renewed my faith that there are nice people in the world I wish they had given me their name and address so I could send a gift.

Regarding the story about toilets at the new South Glasgow University Hospital leaking: This £842 million pound hospital should have never been built.

Instead, the Victoria Infirmary should have been upgraded and the other hospitals that are also closing upgraded too.

This £842 million pound hospital is a huge wast of money. Shocking.

I am disgusted at the attitude of private hire taxi firms in Glasgow.

I can't count the number of times in the past where been left stranded or waited for hours and kept being unhelpfully told 'there is none in the area'.

Last weekend a well known private hire firm barred me then hung up after they went to the wrong place three times and didn't even attempt to make contact.

Glasgow taxis have ranks with marshals which is fantastic however if you aren't anywhere near a rank and the Glasgow taxis are too busy, the private hire firms are the only option.

I now find myself avoiding going out on a weekend night in case I get stranded with no means of getting home.

This is not right as it's not safe leaving women unable to get a taxi home safely and reliably.

The private hire firms need to sort themselves out as women should not spend a night out worrying how they are going to get home.

I was inspired to read the story of Laura Riches who has chopped her long locks and donated them to a charity for alopecia sufferers.

What a selfless act from the Renfrew woman who herself suffers from MS.

I think we could all take a leaf out of her book.
