REGARDING St Aloysius' College plan for a sports hall near art school, absolutely no consideration given to Garnethill residents.

The original plans actually had the building in the neighbouring garden. We're fed up living in a building site but our quality of life is of no concern to St Aloysius. They only consulted the community after we found out about the proposals at the 11th hour.

ON the issue of school gate safety, is it the parents of kids at the school who drive and park dangerously? The roundabout Shawlands Primary is bad too. The zig zag lines are there for safety not private drop off areas. And the speed of some of them, probably because they are late so jump in the car and double park to let them out right at gate

REGARDING the planned train disruption, as usual they are disrupting services during the holiday period when people will be travelling on holiday. So if they are apologising in advance for the disruption why are they not reducing prices over the period and and refunding some money back to the people affected ? That would be decent customer service.

I WAS so shocked to see the images of the poor injured horse in Friday's Evening Times. I can't for the life of me imagine who could do such a thing. It is beyond me.

What kind of person would do this. Animal cruelty is something which cannot be tolerated. We should be taking care of our animals instead of seeing this kind of incident.

I SEE that a plan to charge for access to Glasgow Cathedral has been put on hold.

Maybe I am in the minority, but personally don't have a problem with this. I would be quite happy to pay. Look at all the tourist venues abroad that you have to pay to go into.

It would make sense and if it helps with the upkeep and preserving the building for future generations then I am all for a wee charge.

Maybe I will start a petition to reverse the plan to put charges on hold!
