I wish the bus companies and the roadworks engineers would get together and get organised if there are going to be closures and diversions.

Me and about a dozen of my fellow passengers were left high and dry at a stop on London Road the other day because the road was closed for work at Bridgeton Cross.

Buses were diverted around Glasgow Green, but there was nothing at the bus stop to let us know, and we all stood for ages before we figured it out for ourselves. I'm sure I wasn't the only one who was late in to work.

Two days later and there are still no signs. It's just not good enough.

If Mr Robertson, Evening Times letters February 20, can suggest a way to reclaim the outstanding poll tax still due then he should let our politicians know.

As it stands the amount spent reclaiming this ancient debt would far outstrip what we receive back. That is very poor housekeeping.

He also seems to have a problem with who is responsible for creating the need for foodbanks. I would point him in the direction of the Tory Westminster Government and their Labour allies for the austerity measures that are responsible, not the SNP.

Several letters in the Evening Times lately seem to reflect the latest Labour politicians policy of stating rash and inaccurate statements in tweets and blogs and then removing them a few days later obviously hoping that the public are naive enough not to notice this nonsense. I can assure them we are not.

After the recent big match at Celtic Park, I jumped on a bus at Parkhead Cross heading into the city centre. Almost an hour later we still had not passed the Forge retail park. Police on point duty were more concerned with allowing supporters buses right of way that all other traffic was basically ignored. People were rightly very angry as this is quite common coming away from this area.

Surely we should be able to handle events such as this and have reasonable traffic arrangements to allow people to catch connections. It took me more than two hours to get home to north Glasgow which is an absolute joke.
