This just goes to show how the 'English' parliament views Scottish affairs.

Cycle lane pain
Once again I was sitting at red traffic lights at rush hour in Waterloo Street, while in the waste of money cycle lane next to me the special lights were at green. Are there any cyclists in sight? No.
I have yet to see anyone using this expensive, dedicated lane. It's an epic fail on the part of the council.

It is great to see city workers coming forward to help youngsters whose centre was vandalised (September 11). It must have been heartbreaking for the kids at the Pollok Children's Centre when their greenhouse was wrecked.
Congratulations to City Building for stepping in to help.
It looks like there are still some decent people out there.

I LOVE the idea of Glasgow commuters canoeing to their work (September 12).
The £1.2 million investment at Port Dundas Business Park seems ambitious, but maybe that is just what is needed to kick start a canal revival.
Our ancestors had the right idea when they built the canals to speed business transport.
But why should we stop there. Surely we are missing a trick by ignoring the River Clyde. There might be the odd boat trip, but why can't it be used as a commuter route? What better way to come into the city than by water - that would be some commute.
