SO Jim Murphy wants to mansion tax the multi millionaires in London with their two million dollar houses and distribute the income throughout Britain as far as these people are concerned he's not on.

Boris Johnson of all people, with a family history more royal than the royals, goes on the air saying that the Scots want to mug the London rich, as he would since he's one of them. Even some of our Scottish MPs are not happy, they have joined the bandwagon with their London second homes, courtesy of us, going sky high in value, its not before time that these people were made to pay for their fairytale lifestyles and are taxed to the hilt like the rest of the ordinary people, without the benefit of dodgy accountants and ridiculous tax breaks. Nowadays London really is paved with gold if you are rich. If it was OK for England to share in our wealth in our oil, water, energy, fishing rights, etc. etc. It's OK for Scotland and places outside London to share in the taxes from the richest of the rich who are laughing at us all the way to the bank. Go for it Jim the only guy with the gumption to stand up and tell it like it is.

Good news that Glasgow has managed to secure a painting of the old city fair. It shows a time when Glasgow looked every bit the empire city. A great treasure to have for many generations to enjoy.

I would say this time it is money well spent on preserving Glasgow's heritage.

I was saddened to read about war veteran Bernard Jordan passing away. His story of running away from the care home to join the D Day commemorations was inspiring. Such great spirit. This news has made his little adventure last year all the more poignant.
