The UK's political leaders, Cameron, Miliband and Clegg, have pledged to work together to combat climate change, whatever the election result is in May.

They promise to ban coal-fired power generation.

They have lost touch with reality.

The government is also planning, within five years, to phase out the use of gas for both cooking and heating our homes.

This fact has been deliberately withheld from the public, and unions, and was hidden in the 244-page report from the Department of Energy and Climate Change.

Coal is king once again as the world, including not-so-green Germany, turns to the cheaper electricity that coal provides.

There are 2300 coal-plants worldwide, of which 620 are in China, and there are sufficient coal reserves for 109 years.

How other countries must laugh as the UK presses the green self-destruct button.

After my Mother's funeral last week, we returned the next day to view the many floral tributes laid by family and friends. On approaching her grave we were horrified to see the wreaths had been completely stripped bare overnight, not one flower remained, only green foliage. We immediately believed this was the work of vandals and only on closer inspection, realised the real culprits were indeed not vandals but - wild deer who regularly roam the woods next to Linn Cemetery. So a word of caution to anyone else considering laying fresh flowers as it could turn out to be a very expensive lesson, when Mother Nature decides to take over.

Regarding the protest at Buchanan Street.

It's not 'your steps'. It's the entrance to the Concert Hall. Find somewhere else.

Regards the parking appeal at the new Southern General.

I am a bit confused.

If the hospital is so difficult to get to, how come the thousands of patients and staff who currently use it every day manage to get there now?

I am sure that not every staff member or patient lives in Linthouse.
