I attend British Military Fitness in Kelvingrove Park and I know it pays the council to use the facilities.
However, if the council is looking to charge all companies I hope some of the money will go towards employing people to patrol the parks and catch and fine dog owners who don't clear up after their animals.
The wardens could also help improve the overall upkeep of the park. Bottle tops, broken glass and other dangerous items are all over the grass.
The council could also look at the opening hours for toilets. Our class starts at 8.30am on Saturdays and the toilets are closed. Weekday classes start at 6pm and in the winter months the toilets close early.

Jack's the man
I ENJOYED your memories picture in Thursday's Evening Times about the opening ceremony of the STV studios and think I have the answer to who the special guest was.
I remember watching STV's fifth anniversary gala night broadcast in 1962, which was hosted, I think, by the One O'Clock Gang Show's Larry Marshall.
They recalled on the show that the big name guest on opening night was Hollywood star and song-and-dance man Jack Buchanan.
Jack was born in Helensburgh, but he apparently spent much of his childhood in North Hanover Street, Glasgow, not too far from the STV studio.
Sadly, Jack died in October 1957, just a few months after he appeared in the first show broadcast from the Hope Street studio.
