Good to see the Commonwealth Games Athletes' Village project for housing gathering apace.

I feel it is important that key sites from the amazing games have a lasting legacy.

What better way to develop our city than for people to have homes at the Athletes' Village.

It will certainly be a talking point for new homeowners wondering which athletes might have been in their homes before them.

I was amazed to read about Lauren Marsh, the blind radio presenter in yesterday's Evening Times. She has overcome so much to be able to achieve her goal and is a true inspiration. It just goes to show that you really can do anything you put your mind to.

I just hope that her story will inspire others to not be so quick to judge what people can do. I wish her the best of luck with her venture and hope to hear her on a main radio station in the future.

I have noticed recently that road after road in the city seems to be partially dug up.

How can it all be happening at once? It is making it very difficult to negotiate your way round Glasgow's roads.

I must admit, I am now beginning to agree with some previous correspondents who say they have almost given up coming into the city.

Out of town facilities seems to be the way to go - as at least you can drive to them easily.
