Of course, most of us would never dream of doing such a thing and you can only imagine what kind of mind would ever hurt an animal.
The punishments for such cruel acts must be much firmer to act as a deterrent to anyone else who would think of shooting at a pet.
But I fear that if you would even consider such a thing, there's probably no helping you.

I ENJOYED the story about Partick Thistle looking to give away their old dugouts (October 18).
I remember when St Mirren FC left Love Street to move to the new St Mirren Park and they gave their old dugouts to local junior side Johnstone Burgh.
It helps to build up goodwill towards the bigger clubs and good relationships between local football teams.
I hope the Thistle dugouts are used for years to come.

STILL Game would be warmly welcomed back to our TV screens.
It was consistently one of the funniest shows on telly and managed to push the boundaries while still remaining, just on the right side of safe viewing for almost all the family.
And the suggestion that a stage show could be on the cards is exciting.
Just look at how popular the Mrs Brown's Boys stage show is, and Still Game was a much funnier show.
I hopethat it comes back for good.
