we have an NHS with not enough money to care for our sick, and we have a bunch of people who live near the new South Glasgow Hospital asking for money to help pay their car parking fees - I don't think so.
One solution might be to bring back charges for parking at hospitals, which the SNP abolished a few years ago.
When I had to pay to park at the Southern General or the Victoria, I could always get a space. Now, with free parking, I need to arrive an hour early to find a space.

Jobsworth MP
If the Scottish Labour Party votes Jim Murphy in as leader then it will prove that they have learned nothing.
Murphy is a career politician who has never done a real job.
If he was a Tory politician we would not be able to tell the difference.

Planning boob
Regards Hillhead Primary class move, it appears that the high heid yins at Glasgow City Council's education services have made one almighty boob regarding pupil capacity, and the actual accommodation required at this recently built West End school.
Stephen Curran, the executive member for education and young people, is the man responsible for this current shambles.
Who within the council signed-off on the designs for the school without realising it would soon be at bursting point?

Cover story
RATHER than waste money on two fancy new canopies at St Enoch Subway station, SPT should be doing more to increase the operating hours of the existing system.
I keep reading council guff about how Glasgow is a modern European city. Try telling that to anyone, visitor or local, who wants to use the Subway after teatime on a Sunday.
Considering the way the SPT bosses like to spend our money of foreign 'fact-finding trips', these new canopies seem like another vanity project.
