IT'S time the timetables for Scottish City Link buses were updated at bus stops.

These services have different winter/summer timetables, while some buses run only at weekends. Some bus stop timetables haven't been changed since 2008. Other bus stops have timetables for other companies crammed in on top, thereby obscuring full details. I've even come across a bus stop at Arden roundabout on the A82 which displays a valid timetable for Scottish City Link buses, but their buses no longer stop there.

This confusion could result in some people being left stranded in the middle of nowhere as darkness falls and frost sets in.

Not a laughing matter - especially if you are a hillwalker after an arduous day in the hills. By the way, how do you stop an express bus at 60 MPH on a dark country road - even at a scheduled stop?

Following the news of a drop in carrier bag use,

I find this charge to be terribly annoying and a huge inconvenience. We use and re-use all of the plastic bags we take, as well as utilising re-useable bags, but I can't wait for this charge to come to an end.

Good idea that Glasgow football clubs are supporting a community support project to help people living with Alzheimer's. Sharing memories of football in days gone by must be a good way of bringing people together.

We all know some people can talk about football for hours and if this kind of project can help with Alzheimers then I am all for it.

Although with some Scotland performances over the years, perhaps they are best forgotten.

Why is it that we are still obsessed with what female politicians wear. Just recently First Minister Nicola Sturgeon's outfits have been commented upon. It is outrageous. It wouldn't happen if you were talking about a male politician. Sturgeon has well and truly smashed through the glass roof, but yet we are wondering what she has on from one day to the next. Enough. Let's have a serious debate in the run up to the General Election and put the fashion debate to one side.
