I read Angus McKay's letter on Tuesday and and would like to inform him that he is miguided.

I am well versed on history having relatives who fled Warsaw and became hard working citizens in Glasgow.

Nigel Farage is unconsciously describing the state of UK under a Tory government. We now have food banks, people struggling for benefits when ill, the list is endless.

The UK is in a shambles where the rich get richer and the poor get poorer.

UK's a 'shambles'

Feeling let down

A NEW tactic employed by Margaret Curran was delivered to many of the East End residents.

A letter from Bertie Auld, ex-Celtic footballer and a Lisbon Lion, stating that he had known her for a long time, and asking us to vote for her. I wonder did she tell him that she voted along with the Tories for a further £30 billion austerity cut, wishing to retain Trident and to allow fracking?

Mrs Curran was in Westminster because the people of the East End trusted her and hoped that she would help in providing a new and better life. Nothing has changed.

Look into your heart

IN response to the story about Scots divided about another referendum, I think to referendum or not to referendum is a diversionary side issue. Don't get bogged down and side-tracked with this, voters.

Vote with your heart and good sense. If in the future there is another referendum don't fear it just vote for what you think is the best choice.
