What are the councillors scared off: that someone will tell the truth to their faces?
These gigs were foisted on local residents with little or no consultation.
Why can't the pop promoters go back to staging gigs on Glasgow Green?
Mosspark and Craigton are quiet, residential areas and completely the wrong place to stage such concerts.

Bye, bye Bruce
Bruce Forsyth says he doesn't know why he comes back to this 'stinking cold place' (Britain ).
I'll tell you why. This is where he makes his millions.
If he wants fly off to his wife's home country of Puerto Rico, good riddance to him. Tell him to leave his knighthood before he goes. It would give us all a break.

Top class tale
I really enjoyed Catriona Stewart's story about Bill Anderson finally receiving his Dux medal from Govan High.
It was a heartwarming story and I suppose a case of better late than never.
Well done Bill, you deserve it.

Hats off to boxer Evander Holyfield visiting the East End to help the homeless at the Lodging House (September 19).
It's always good to see a different side to these guys.
Muhammad Ali was a great humanitarian and it would be very touching if his old mate Yank Barry, who accompanied Holyfield to Glasgow, could win the Nobel Peace Prize. He has promised to share it with Ali if he does.
It would be great if some of today's vastly overpaid young footballers used these men as inspirations and gave something back to their local communities.
