As an SNP voter I was appalled that Alex Salmond and Nicola Sturgeon did not attend the service of reconciliation at St Giles' Cathedral after the referendum, He is the First Minister and should be leading the country forward regardless of his disappointment at the result.
This petty action demeans both himself and his position.I will not vote SNP again.

Vote poser
After the results of the Scottish referendum last week, it would be interesting to know the name of one other country which voted not to be independent and not be total control of its own destiny. I think you will struggle to find one.

Trade lesson
You have to applaud entrepreneur Jim McColl for his plans for a trade school. It will certainly give some young people a start in life which could help them in the jobs market. However, I have to wonder why a private person is doing this. Isn't this something which should be provided in the school system we currently have?

Parking cash
Why do we keep ploughing money into city centre parking spaces? We should be making the city centre a car free zone. The money could cut the number of children in poverty in Glasgow and the amount of homeless people.

Class question
ONE of the reasons Labour will struggle at the next election is their blinkered inability to see that the working class has fractured into three. First the underclass who don't work and have no intention of working; second the working class in low paid jobs who don't see a big difference in income from the underclass; fnally the middle class who are glad they are out of welfare ghettos. All Labour's protests are about benefit cuts. When was the last you heard about Labour organising a march about the right to work?
