Having just read yesterday's Evening Times, regarding the new South Glasgow University Hospital, it is indeed a wonderful hospital to behold, but I have a couple of observations.

There seems to be an awful lots of wasted space inside which I'm sure could have been put to a better use. The area directly outside the entrance is vast which means people have quite a walk to get in. The immediate road is for buses only which means that ambulances and taxis can not get close to the entrance, in my case.

I transport some dialysis patient for treatment, one of which requires a wheelchair and as it was the first day was readily available, so let's see what the future brings.

I think more thought and consideration could have been afforded to these patients as quite a few require wheelchair and or assistances.

Regard fears low tide could have brought down Clyde quayside wall, not personally involved, but surely a situation like this demands urgent action. Do we wait until there are fatalities and then carry out repairs? The repairs should be completed immediately by the council and let the courts decide liability for the cost.

On the new Bishopbriggs school plans, I am actually glad to be moving away because it's going to be mayhem with traffic. It already is but now it's going to be a lot worse and the small street leading into the school won't cope so I hope they make another entrance for the cars.

Following on from your letters page on Saturday regarding charged for visitors to our cathedral. My experience of this was more humiliating. Myself and two friends and four children went to Kelvingrove Art Gallery for them to see the Dinosaur exhibition.

We discovered there was a charge which none of could afford. Exit quickly with total red face and four very disappointed children.

I would love to go to lots of events that they hold but unfortunately I don't have spare cash that's not in my budget. This is shameful for Glasgow as I'm sure we are not alone in lacking funds.

A very angry mum

In relation to the 'Russian Roulette' crossing in Kirkintilloch, another stupid idea by an incompetent council. The only reason they are pushing ahead is because they have the funding for it regardless of whether it is a dangerous proposal.
