THE Pacitti Garden project in Kinning Park is a fine example of what the Streets Ahead campaign aims to achieve.

From the community's primary school to the local care home, everyone is getting involved in transforming a space that is unused and has become an eyesore.

As well as being a fitting tribute to a local businessman who obviously had the community at heart, the people will be creating a resource that can be enjoyed by folk of all ages.

Projects like this are taking place across the city thanks to Streets Ahead and the expertise and support from our partners City Charitable Trust, Glasgow City Council, GHA and Strathclyde Fire and Rescue.

There is room for so many more and we want to hear your ideas of what you would like to change and improve in your area.

Streets Ahead will help you get organised to transform your area and get people making a difference to their own environment.

Just like the children in Kinning Park, we can all get together and seize the initiative and work toward changing Glasgow one street at a time.

Everything starts with an idea and from that, together we can take it and help it grow into a reality and make a change that you and your community can be proud of, just like the Pacitti Garden.
