Goal flood sees Kello top table

There was no shortage of goals in the Super First Division stakes where Davie Jardine bagged a hat-trick to help tabletoppers Kello Rovers overcome Winton Rovers 5-3 while nearest challengers Hurlford United remained two points behind thanks to a hard fought 3-2 home win over Glasgow Perthshire.

Largs Thistle's surprise 2-0 loss at home to Maybole enabled Rutherglen Glencairn to go third top on the back of a battling 3-3 draw away to Yoker in which Glens prolific hitman Dennis McLaughlin weighed in with a brace of his team's goals.

In the Emirates Junior Cup St Anthonys eased into the Third Round hat courtesy of a 3-1 replay win over Longside, while Shettleston ran out convincing 4-1 winners over Cruden Bay.
