Poisonous algae forces swimming ban on loch

A potentially deadly algae has forced a popular loch to ban swimming for the second summer in a row.

Blooms of blue green algae (BGA) have returned to Strathclyde Loch in Motherwell and have disrupted water sports. BGA can produce toxins harmful to humans and animals.
