POLAND coach Leo Beenhakker has told Celtic keeper Artur Boruc to stop acting like a spoilt child if he wants to save his international career.
Boruc has been left out of the Poland squad for the World Cup qualifiers against Slovenia and San Marino after breaking a curfew to go drinking with team-mates Dariusz Dudka and Radoslaw Majewski in Ukraine.
But Beenhakker says the controversial Hoops star can force his way back into his plans if he grows up.
Leo stated: "It was a very difficult decision to drop Artur, Dariusz and Radoslaw - one of the most difficult I have ever had to take.
"I spent the entire weekend thinking about it and struggled to get my head around it. It still hurts to think about what I am doing, but I have no option.
"I have the same sort of feeling I have had in the past many times as a father. Sometimes your kids do things that disappoint you.
"When that happens you have to punish them and show them the right way in life, but no matter how hard you come down on them you still love them.
"I still love my players dearly, but for the moment we are separated. How long we will be separated for will depend on how they react."
Beenhakker added: "I don't want to share the details of that night because I don't want to destroy a player's career and it would do that.
"However, the boundaries were made clear and that's why I had to suspend the players.
"They are professionals and must behave like that. They have to take responsibility and learn from the mistakes they make. Everyone knows the rules."
Boruc, Dudka and Majewski issued an apology for their behaviour on the Polish FA website, but it failed to save them from the axe.
