LAW firm McGrigors has given Scotland's only student-run legal clinic a £20,000 funding boost.
The University of Strathclyde's Law Clinic was launched in October 2003 to provide free legal help to people in and around Glasgow who are unable to obtain it through other means.
The £20,000 funding was provided by McGrigors' corporate social responsibility programme, Horizons - with a contribution of £10,000 last year followed by a further £10,000 this year.
The Law Clinic can call on McGrigors' expertise on a variety of legal issues and the firm offers in-depth training for students on specific areas of practice.
McGrigors has three offices in Scotland, including one at Pacific House in Wellington Street, Glasgow.
Professor Donald Nicolson, from the University of Strathclyde, oversees the clinic.
He said: "The clinic is overseen by qualified solicitors who supervise students to ensure a quality and reliable legal service.
"Without funding like this the clinic and the invaluable services it provides would be unsustainable."
