The Ibrox side are set to wrap up the League One title this month, have reached the final of the Ramsdens Cup and host Albion Rovers in the Scottish Cup quarter-finals tomorrow, writes Chris Jack.

The Light Blues have not always been at their free-flowing best this term but McCoist insists his players are doing what is asked of them as they look to move back through the Scottish league ladder.

He said: "We are scoring goals, our shut-out record is up there with anything this year and the next thing we can move on to is our level of performance.

"Of course we want to play better in games. We'd love to play absolutely fantastic football all the time.

"But going back up the leagues is a slow process and you're going to get games where you don't play to your full potential.

"With the greatest of respect to everybody, we do want to play as well as we can all the time but we're reasonably happy with where we are and what we're doing at the moment."
