IAN BLACK will sit out SPFL League One action next month after picking up his sixth booking of the season in the draw against Stranraer.
However, his previous record means that suspension could be doubled, meaning he would sit out matches against East Fife on Saturday, January 11 and Forfar on Monday, January 20.
The midfielder had avoided a yellow card until mid-October but has now picked up six bookings in only nine games.
"It's extremely disappointing. Ian had managed to avoid picking up yellow cards and silly, needless ones," manager Ally McCoist told Rangers' official website.
"If that's six in nine games now though that's not good at all and he's obviously no good to us in the stand."
