The keeper won the first silverware of his Ibrox career as Ally McCoist's side eased to the League One title to put them just one promotion away from a return to Scotland's top flight.

Hibernian could yet join the Gers and relegated Hearts in the second tier next time out, with all eyes set to be on a compelling Championship campaign.

Rangers will once again be strong favourites for the title and Bell insists the Light Blues have what it takes to make it three-in-a-row and clinch a Premiership berth.

"I think we'll need to raise our game, even after dominating League One the way we did, and I'm sure we will do that," he told rangers.co.uk.

"We began last season really well and we were flying. We then took a dip but every team does that. We still kept winning games, which was the main thing.

"We were getting results and our unbeaten record showed how well we did. We were successful but we need to kick on again and I've no doubt that will happen.

"We've got good enough players here already and I'm sure the manager will add people to the squad who will make us stronger again.

"That will ensure we are all on our toes and that we will need to play our best football to stay in the side."
