JIM HAMILTON from the South Side asked Derek:
What has been your highlight of the Commonwealth Games?
For me, there have been two stand-out moments at Glasgow 2014.
Erraid Davies, the 13-year-old lassie from Shetland, winning the bronze medal in the para-sport women's 100m breaststroke was amazing. Seeing her beaming smile as she stood on the podium was fantastic.
But Alex Marshall and Paul Foster winning gold in the men's pairs lawn bowls gold was great. Bowls is normally such a quiet sport. But the cheering and celebrations as they came through were amazing.
