RANGERS fans are going to come flooding back to matches between now and the end of the season.

And that should help the team's bid to win promotion to the SPFL Premiership.

Before Gers supporters said: "The people on the board are greedy and are only in it for themselves." Well, that is not the case now.

We have people on the board who are going to be working for nothing. They are there for the love of the club.

It would be good if Rangers could get over 40,000 fans at their last six home games this season - starting with the match against Queen of the South on Tuesday.

That will put between £1 million and £2 million into the club's coffers and that helps their cause considerably as well.

Fans are looking for transparency - and they are getting that already. Dave King has told them he is not going to go onto the board until he has been shown to be a fit and proper person.

Think about it. It is pointless him going on the board, being told by AIM or the SFA he isn't allowed to serve as chairman or a director and then somebody else being appointed.

King is doing the right thing and it shows exactly what kind of man he is.

Just about everything that has been said and written about Rangers in the last few years has been negative.

Now that something positive is finally happening some people are still trying to put a negative spin on it.

We have known for weeks that Dave King would change the Nomad if he took over because he was unhappy with the way that WH Ireland had been handling club affairs.

As soon as it became clear that he had won the EGM we knew they would be replaced. All they have done is jump before they were pushed.

They now have a month to bring somebody else in. But they were always going to do that. I don't think it is a huge problem.

It may be a good story for some people. But the new directors knew exactly what was going to happen and what they now have to do. They are bright men. They understand how corporate governance works.

They have tried for four years to get the club. Paul Murray especially. He has tried on two or three occasions to get in and he has failed on every occasion. But now he has done it.

They should be given time to sort the situation out. They aren't going to do anything without the fans knowing about. There are certain things that, for legal reasons, they will have to keep to themselves.

The Stock Exchange has to be informed what is going on first. But the supporters will be informed exactly what is going on.

But I know the people who are coming in and I know the club will be well looked after.
