Bollan appeared to be involved in a bust-up with Gers centre-half Bilel Mohsni at the end of the SPFL League One game.

Mohsni received a second yellow card from referee Greg Aitken in the match official's room inside the Excelsior Stadium.

The French-Tunisian defender will miss the rescheduled league game with Stenhousemuir at Ochilview tomorrow.

But Faure was baffled why his team-mate was punished for the altercation with former Rangers player Bollan.

He said: "The Airdrie striker and manager went up to Bilel after the final whistle.

"He got a second yellow card in the referee's room and I don't understand why.

"The Airdrie manager pushed me and pushed Bilel too. Bilel was very angry."

Faure, who is keeping fit-again Ricky Foster out of the Rangers team, expects rival teams to take a physical approach against Rangers now.

But the French 23-year-old revealed he was amazed Airdrie did not get anybody ordered off in their televised encounter on Thursday.

He said: "For me, Airdrie were aggressive and should not have finished the match with 11 players. The striker was always catching Bilel.

"It is okay to be physical when you play football, but for me there were a lot of bad tackles on Thursday night."
