Ally McCoist's men were held to a 1-1 draw at Stirling Albion in midweek – the second time this season they have failed to win at Forthbank.

Second-placed Queen's Park reduced the huge gap at the top of the league to 20 points thanks to their victory at Clyde.

After dropping two points, Rangers still require six more wins to clinch the league, assuming the Glasgow amateurs win their two games in hand.

And if the two sides match each other, it means Rangers could win it at the home of Scottish football on Sunday April 7, when they face Gardner Speirs' Queen's Park in a match live on ESPN.

The Light Blues were due to clinch the Irn-Bru Third Division championship at Links Park, Montrose, on Easter weekend at the end of March.

But their unexpected blip at Forthbank – a venue where they suffered their only defeat in the league in October – has meant their title celebrations could be on hold if the Spiders keep winning.

And they could enjoy an emotional league-winning celebration at the ground where they have lifted so many trophies previously if all goes to plan.
