ALLY McCOIST insists Ibrox is still home sweet home for Rangers as his side prepare for Sunday's Scottish Cup clash with Kilmarnock.

Former Light Blues keeper Andy Goram stated last week that Ibrox was a difficult place to play at the moment due to the myriad of on and off-field problems facing McCoist, his players and the club.

Rangers have lost to Hearts and Hibs and drawn with Alloa on home soil already in the Championship this season while crowds are well down as supporters turn their back on the team and the regime.

McCoist said: "You have to say Ibrox as our home ground is where we want to be. I understand what Andy's saying with regards to the atmosphere around the whole place, with protests going on.

"But we all have to rise above that, coaches and players. That's what we get paid for; to turn up and get the job done.

"There's no excuse for us not performing on Sunday or at any home game."
