Let's be frank about this - the Rangers EGM is now going to take place exactly where it should be.

The furore about this is yet another thing with Rangers that became an unnecessary circus.

You can't blame London hotels wanting to run a mile from the thought of angry Scots hanging around their lobby or out on their doorstep protesting over a football club that operates at the other end of the country.

Sanity, at last, has prevailed and it should always have been the case that the EGM was taking place at Ibrox.

This is where the club operates from and this is where shareholders deserve their chance to have their say about their club.

If you have bought shares in the club then you are absolutely entitled to turn up and make your point heard.

I know that Dave King urged people to stay away so that it all goes ahead smoothly but you have to remember that for many people what has gone on over the last three years has been horrific. Fans that have been Rangers supporters for generations have been angered by the handling of the club and they deserve the chance to turn up at the EGM.

And although it is difficult to second guess how it may go, my feeling would be that Dave King and the Three Bears would not have spoken so publicly if they did not feel that they were going to get more than 50% of the vote.

It would be folly to write off a guy like Mike Ashley as you just don't know what he might have up his sleeve.

But the man the supporters want to see in charge is Dave King.

If it doesn't pan out like that then I think we can expect a lot of very angry supporters at Ibrox.
