KENNY MILLER insists the Rangers squad will not let themselves get dragged into the Ibrox boardroom battle.

The power struggle between Mike Ashley, Dave King and Brian Kennedy dominated headlines all last week and over the weekend.

But Miller claims he and his team-mates will not let the ongoing row distract them from battling their way back to the top tier.

The striker, who got the opener in Rangers' 3-0 Championship win over Dumbarton on Saturday, said: "There is a lot of off-field stuff but, as players, we can only affect what happens on the pitch.

"If we're going to achieve anything this season we'll have to concentrate on our job and that's winning games and making sure we get up to the Premiership.

"We will stick to the football and leave the off-field stuff to the people it concerns."

Rangers are back in action again tomorrow night when they host top-flight St Johnstone in the League Cup quarter-finals.

Miller said: "We want to win things and it is another quarter-final. We got through one last week against East Fife so it is important we build on the last couple of performances.

"We are playing a high level of opposition in St Johnstone but if we play how we have done in the last couple of weeks we will pose a threat to anyone."

Miller's weekend goal was his second in three games since returning from a calf injury.

The former Scotland hero said: "I feel I'm getting back to my best but it might take three or four games more for me to get back my full match sharpness."
