NICKY LAW is confident Arnold Peralta will be a hit with the Rangers fans - because he is even more aggressive than former Ibrox favourite Rino Gattuso.

The Honduran star is finally able to play competitively for Ally McCoist's side after the Gers' registration embargo was lifted on Sunday.

He could make his bow in the League One clash at home to Arbroath on September 14 and Law reckons his midfield countperart will be a firm fans' favourite.

He said: "He's very aggressive, he works his socks off and leaves everything out on the pitch.

"You would see that in the Newcastle game and the other friendlies he's played. If you see any injuries from Rangers this season there's a fair chance that Arnold will have provided them!

"He's like that in training, but he's fantastic. I'm sure the fans will really take to him. The Rangers fans expect 100% in every game and he certainly gives that.

"People have compared him to Gattuso but I'd say he's probably more aggressive than Gattuso. He might get a few red cards this season, I'm sure. But he's a great lad.

"The manager's used him more out on the right and that could be where he sees him playing this season.

"Hopefully he'll settle in well. He has done so far and is learning the language.

"The lads are great with him - as much as you can be as no-one really understands what he's saying.

"I'm sure he'll be a really good signing for the club and the fans will take to him."

Law was speaking as the Rangers Charity Foundation unveiled Enable Scotland as their new national charity partner and just hours after team-mate Lee Wallace was called-up to the Scotland squad for the upcoming double-header with Belgium and Macedonia.

And the former Motherwell man is delighted to see the Ibrox left-back earn international recognition after a superb start to the season.

Law said: "It's really pleasing. We were really disappointed for him to see he hadn't been called up in the last couple of squads.

"We feel he's deserving of that and if you watch him he's international quality - there's no doubt about that.

"He's a phenomenal player and one hell of an athlete - probably one of the biggest threats in our team.

"That's probably the biggest compliment we can pay him. We're delighted for him, it's fully deserved.

"I wouldn't have any fears about him going up against anybody."
