NICKY LAW is confident he can produce his finest form for Rangers after having a year to settle into life at Ibrox.

The midfielder had a solid debut campaign in Light Blue last term as he helped Ally McCoist's side to the League One title but came under criticism from sections of the Gers support for some of his performances.

Law continued his preparations with a goal in a 4-2 win over Fulham at Murray Park yesterday, with midfield compatriot Lewis Macleod also on target.

Keeper Steve Simonsen played the second half as Kenny Miller and Nicky Clark clinched the win for McCoist's side and Law can't wait to get down to business.

"Something the manager spoke about with all the new boys when we signed last summer was at Rangers it can take a year or two to settle and to show your best form," he told rangers.co.uk

"It's such a massive football club and there is a lot of expectation here. It's difficult when so many new players come in as was the case a year ago.

"We were all thrown in at the one time and I'm sure we'll be a lot stronger for the experience this time around.

"Hopefully, it can be a really good season for myself but more importantly for the team because come the end of the campaign, we need to be going back up into the top league."

Meanwhile, Rangers have been handed a derby tie against Queen's Park in the League Cup. No date for their clash with Gus MacPherson's side has yet been set due to the Commonwealth Games.
