ANDY LITTLE reckons David Templeton will face yet more physical fixtures after being given a rough ride at Ibrox on Saturday.

The Gers star was the victim of a number of rash challenges as Ally McCoist's side clinched a 2-0 win over Stirling Albion.

It was the winger's first start since returning from injury but he found himself immediately in the wars against the tough-tackling Binos.

Little said: "I lost my place, probably to Temps, which was a bit disappointing but he did really well.

"That is one of those things, we have got competition in the squad and you have to impress every time you play.

"I thought he did really well for his first start back. He's a crowd pleaser and the fans enjoy him, providing he doesn't get kicked off the ball all the time.

"He is that kind of player, he frustrates you and people are going to dive in on him.

"He has bruises all over him and that is what happens when you are a tricky winger like that.

"I don't know whether they [referees] can protect him a bit more. The four bookings show that they are trying to clamp down on tackles."

It was Templeton and Little who got the goals at Ibrox as McCoist's side dominated their Irn-Bru Third Division rivals.

Little said: "We had loads of chances, especially in the first half, to kill the game off and we could have made it easier for ourselves.

"The team hasn't gelled until recently, which is only natural. We have three or four teenagers, three or four foreigners and a few new signings so it was always going to take a wee while."
