Macleod runs show for rampant Rangers

SIMONSEN (6) A quiet night for the Gers back-up, who would probably have wished for a busier time to prove his worth.

Could do little about Kevin Watt's goal.

McGREGOR (7) Enjoyed his secondment at right-back. Got forward when he could.

ZALIUKAS (7) Composed at the back on brief occasions he was called upon. Taken off to good reception on 64 minutes.

MOHSNI (6) Erratic balls out from the back causing the odd gasp. Blasted over from five yards when it looked easier to score in first half.

WALLACE (8) Comfortable night defensively, allowing him to rampage forward at will. Clever cutback to Aird for Gers' second.

McCULLOCH (8) A strong anchor at the heart of the Rangers midfield. Smashed home an unstoppable shot seven minutes before break to help Rangers on their way before repeating the feat in second half.

AIRD (7) Struck a stinging drive at Barclay after 10 minutes before his effort on 24 minutes squirmed in to make it 2-0. Hobbled off to rousing reception on 80 minutes.

BOYD (9) Great instincts from the birthday boy to peel off his man for opener and finish calmly. Superb movement and intuition for second and third. Back to his best on this showing.

CLARK (8) Fed Boyd for opener following surging run before doing the same for the former Killie man's second. Went painfully close to getting the goal his display deserved on more than one occasion. Taken off on 60 minutes after blow in the face.

MACLEOD (9) Flashed a fine effort just wide in first half before attacking play in build-up to third. Got the goal of the night on the stroke of half-time with a sublime curling shot before a calm low finish on 65 minutes completed his brace.

LAW (7) Worked hard in the centre of the park and was unlucky not to score with a chip in second half which cannoned back off the post. Still yet to find his feet but his performance grew after the break before he was substituted with 20 minutes left.

SHIELS (4) Brought on for Clark after the hour only to play the killer pass for MacLeod to notch Rangers' sixth of the night.

FAURE (3) Replaced Zaliukas in defence with game already won.

TEMPLETON (3) Had just 20 minutes to impress after replacing Law. Little chance to make impact.
