KENNY McDOWALL was thrilled with the goals David Templeton and Andy Little scored in the 4-1 win over Clyde, and hopes both players can continue their electric form.

The Gers pair hit sensational doubles against the Bully Wee at Broadwood as the visitors took a step closer to winning the Irn-Bru Third Division title.

The assistant boss said: "Andy's moved up top and he's continued the goalscoring run he has been on.

"He came here as a striker so we've always known he had that in him. We've actually played him at right-back, in fact I remember at Celtic Park when he started there.

"But he's just one of those boys who will do a job wherever you ask him to play.

"He's been featuring mainly on the right side for us this season and he's got his fair share of goals coming in from there.

"He's done terrifically well and we know Temps is capable of getting goals as well.

"His first (against Clyde) was sensational, what a strike, and his second came at a good time with Clyde getting a goal back.

"It was fantastic and I think if you're a defender that's the last thing you want to see."

McDowall also praised Anestis Argyriou after his strong display against Jim Duffy's men.

Speaking to Rangers TV he added: "We took him out of the team, we felt he had played a lot of games

"He waited his turn and got back in. His confidence is up and he's playing very well."
