RANGERS keeper Cammy Bell is hoping Ally McCoist continues to pick him during the final SPFL League One games of the season.

The Ibrox manager may rest players in the remaining league ties of the 2013/14 campaign as his side has already sewn up the third tier title.

Both Scott Gallacher, who played six times for the first team at the start of the season, and Steve Simonsen, who has played once against Forfar, are itching for a game between the sticks.

But Bell, who has kept 24 clean sheets in 33 games, has revealed he is keen to be involved in every match the Gers are involved in.

Speaking to the official Rangers website, he said: "The manager hasn't spoken to me so I'm just presuming that as long as I keep playing well and keep my form up I'll keep playing.

"If I stay injury-free, I want to keep playing until the end of the season and I want to make that clear.

"I think it's a bit of a different situation when you're a goalkeeper.

"You'd rather keep yourself going and play week in, week out to keep yourself on top of your game.

"With outfield players, you can see the benefits in resting them and sometimes that's essential for them.

"Goalkeepers find it best to just keep playing though. It's the best thing for them and if the manager asks the question, I'll be saying I want to keep playing.

"It's his decision, but hopefully I can keep playing because we've got some really important games coming up.

"There's the Ramsdens Cup final with Raith and obviously the Scottish Cup semi-final against Dundee United as well. Hopefully I can stay involved until then."

Bell admitted he is looking forward to the cup matches Rangers have coming up this month.

The Ibrox club take on Raith Rovers at Easter Road in the Ramsdens Cup final on Sunday week.

And then the Light Blues will play Dundee United in the William Hill Scottish Cup semi-final at Ibrox the following Saturday.

Having already helped the Gers win the league, the former League Cup winner is hoping to bring more silverware to the club.

Bell added: "It's great we've got so much to look forward to.

"We've still got a chance to win three medals this season.

"It's going to be an interesting few months for the football club and we're determined to win more trophies.

"The cup final will be the first most of the boys have played in so that's exciting and the semi-final will put us up against United.

"People are asking questions about where we are and I'm sure that day we'll find out.

"It has been a great season for us so far but there's still well over a month to go and we need to keep pushing ourselves right through to the end."

Meanwhile, Rangers' final home league game of the season against Stranraer on Saturday, April 26, will now kick off at 12.45pm and be shown live on Sky Sports.
