ALEXANDER (6) Dealt well with a goal-bound Mark Ferry shot in the first half but could do little about Ross Forsyth's equaliser.

Saved well from Kieran McAnespie at 1-1.

ARGYRIOU (4) The Greek right- back gave away the free-kick that led to the Stirling Albion goal with a foul on Phil Johnston. Did little else.

CRIBARI (4) Returned to the starting line-up having missed the Berwick match through illness. Could have attacked McAnespie's curling free-kick better at the goal.

HEGARTY (6) Retained his place in his favoured centre-half position in the absence of Ross Perry. In the main, dealt well with the threat posed by Jordan White and Johnston.

WALLACE (6) Showed great athleticism on the left flank in the first half and did not tire. Unlucky not to net a fine solo effort just before half-time.

NAISMITH (5) Came into the team on the right of midfield as Barrie McKay dropped out. Threaded a few dangerous balls to Andy Little up front. Should have done better with a gilt-edged chance at the death.

HUTTON (5) The central midfielder struggled to stamp his authority on the match. Gave away a stupid free-kick in a dangerous area at 1-1 with a foul on McAnespie.

BLACK (6) Better than in recent weeks. Was at the heart of many of his team's best passages of play. Displayed some skilful touches on a slippery surface. TEMPLETON (5) Recovered well having been clattered by Johnston. He is undeterred by excessively physical challenges. But did not exert any influence.

SHIELS (6) Fed the ball through to Little to open the scoring. Always looked capable of creating something until being replaced by Francisco Sandaza.

LITTLE (6) Is now joint-top Rangers scorer with Lee McCulloch after netting his 22nd goal of the season in the first half. Showed composure to round David Crawford and slot home. Missed a chance late on.

SUBSTITUTES:

SANDAZA (3) The Spanish hitman had a shot cleared off the line after replacing Shiels. McKAY (2) Replaced Templeton but unable to make a difference in his short time on the park.
