Aird goal opens the floodgates

BELL (6) Had to be alert as Dunfermline started brightly but rarely troubled thereafter as he added another clean sheet to his tally.

FAURE (7) Will find his starting slot at right-back under threat now Richard Foster has returned to full fitness. Solid once again last night.

McCULLOCH (7) Coped well with the energetic Pars attack. Never under any real pressure as Ally McCoist's side eased to victory in the end.

MOHSNI (7) Booked for a tangle with Moore midway through second half. A few nice touches to get himself out of trouble on a comfortable night.WALLACE (7) A good shift from the Light Blues left-back but not as adventurous as normal up and down the wing.

AIRD (7) Good finish to break the deadlock as he cut in from the right flank and fired home from the edge of the area. Should have doubled the Gers' lead on the stroke of half-time.

BLACK (7) Vocal in the middle of the park as he tried to drive Rangers forward. Forced off before the end with a knock. LAW (7) Capped a decent showing with a goal, collecting Macleod's pass and dinking the ball over Scully.

SMITH (5) A surprise starter in midfield but offered little in an attacking sense and spurned a good chance a few minutes in. Off with a knock early in second half.

DALY (7) Had few chances in a frustrating first half, with Scully making a decent stop from his shot just before the break. Movement good at set-pieces and unlucky to see Clark nick his goal just after the interval.

CLARK (6) Worked hard for little reward but was in the right place at the right time to head home Daly's goalbound effort on 50 minutes.

MACLEOD (6) Came on for Smith in 56 minutes and showed his class with excellent pass to set up Law for the third goal of the night.

FOSTER (3) Made his return to action after a spell on the sidelines after replacing Clark with 20 minutes to go.

CRAWFORD (4) Came on for Black and capped his late cameo with the fourth goal.
