ALLY McCOIST will have his own reasons for wanting the game with Cowdenbeath postponed last weekend - and only time will tell if it was the right decision or not.

He would have been without Bilel Mohsni due to suspension and Marius Zaliukas through injury, as well as Kenny Miller.

So it might work out in Rangers' favour the fact that the game at Central Park wasn't played.

They will head to Fife early next month instead and while it will be a tricky game it is one Rangers will be confident of winning.

Not playing did mean that Hearts moved nine points clear and they will be pleased with that.

But there is a long way to go and we shouldn't look at the gap too much at this stage of the season.

Rangers have the game in hand and we have still to play Hearts three times.

McCoist's men haven't played that well recently so maybe the rest last weekend will prove to be just what they needed.

We will see how they go against Raith Rovers tomorrow.

A repeat of the 4-0 win at Stark's Park earlier in the season would be ideal for them.

Nine points is a good lead for Hearts but there are still plenty of points to play for.

This will go all the way. Nobody is going to run away with this division.

There will be points dropped by both teams between now and the end of the season but Rangers don't want to let any slip tomorrow.
