LIKE the vast majority of Rangers fans, I was delighted when the SFA passed Dave King as a fit and proper person on Tuesday.

He can concentrate fully on helping the Ibrox club address their off-field problems and invest some money to help that process.

But the sad thing for me is this.

So many lawyers, in Scotland and South Africa, have looked into his case. Evidence has been acquired and scrutinised from many sources.

Dave has complied with the whole process and answered every question asked of him. He has given the governing body everything bar his birth certificate.

The SFA's eight man board has weighed everything up and decided he can take up his place on the Light Blues board.

But still, even after all of that, there are still people coming out and saying: "This is wrong! He's not fit and proper! This shouldn't be allowed!"

What more can the guy do! Everybody and their granny has looked into him. His background has been pored over rigorously.

He is fit and proper. End of. Some folk should just let it go, move on with their lives and let him get on with the job he faces at Rangers.

All we seem to get, though, is negativity. Of course, people are entitled to their views. They are, of course, allowed to have their say and air an opinion.

But if so many fine legal minds have agreed King is fit and proper and can become the chairman of Rangers then I think they should accept it and let it go once and for all.
