RICHARD GALLACHER from Clydebank asked Derek who was the most influential captain he played with?
That's an easy one! Without doubt John Greig was the most natural and impressive captain that I ever took to a pitch with. He was the archetypal leader on and off the park.
You could see him have a poor game on the odd occasion – but he would still make sure that everyone around him was doing their bit. He was an exemplary leader – and the type of captain that Rangers could do with today.
If you have a question for Derek, just email him at dj@eveningtimes.co.uk and we'll print the answer alongside the question.
