THE positive from the game against Livingston on Wednesday night was that Rangers got the point that moved them ahead of Hibs in the Championship table and the one that put our destiny in our own hands.

If we win the three games against Dumbarton, Falkirk and Hearts then we will finish second this season. That is all you can ask for.

I think a draw was a fair result. Rangers were expected to win but I thought Livi were terrific on the night and all credit to Mark Burchill and his players for their performance.

They are big, strong, they gave their all and they scored a superb goal through Myles Hippolyte, it was a great free-kick just after the break.

Thankfully, Marius Zaliukas got Rangers back in it but there was no winner unfortunately and it was another two points dropped against a side at the wrong end of the table.

Rangers went there looking for the win and I know the fans will be disappointed, as Stuart and the players will be, to only get a draw but I thought that was all we deserved.

It just shows how difficult it is for Rangers, though. Livingston were bottom of the league before the game but, going on that performance, they shouldn't be anywhere near that if that is how they can play.

When teams play Rangers, they give their all and rise to the occasion. If they played like they did against Rangers, they wouldn't be fighting for their lives at the bottom of the table.
