Derek replied: "Without a shadow of doubt it is Darren McGregor. He has been outstanding. There have been some players who have done all right at certain stages of the season, but McGregor has been solid.
"Wherever he has been played, at left-back, at right-back or at centre-half, his attitude has been absolutely first-class.
"Last weekend against Falkirk he gave the ball away stupidly on the halfway line, but he chased back and forced a goal kick. That shows the desire he has.
"He has been the stand-out Rangers player this season for me."
