RANGERS deserve credit for deciding to let their season ticket holders into Ibrox for the SPFL Premiership play-off matches for free.

By giving around 25,000 fans free admission to the games, they will go a long way towards creating a full house and that will help the team.

To be honest, I can't get my head around why the SPFL take half of the money from the play-off matches. I just don't get that at all.

They are going to be taking more money than Rangers will get for finishing second or third in the Championship. It is just absolute nonsense.

At a time when the club is struggling, the SPFL want to take money from them and dish it out to the rest of the clubs.

Why on earth should the clubs who are involved in the play-offs, who have worked hard to get there, have to pay money to the rest? It is a joke, if you ask me.

If Hibs have set a precedent by letting season ticket holders into the play-off final against Hamilton for free last year, then why shouldn't Rangers do the same?

If another club can do it why shouldn't Rangers? I am not surprised that Motherwell are talking about doing it as well. I think they are right to chance it.

It is a pat on the back for the fans who have bought the season tickets and supported the team throughout the 2014/15 campaign.

The SPFL will still bank half the money from those who buy tickets for the game. They will make a fair amount of money from Rangers.
