Should Rangers forget about the cups and concentrate on winning the league?

I think that Hearts can afford to focus solely on the league. Robbie Neilson's remit this season is to win promotion and that is clearly what he is concentrating on.

Ally McCoist's priority at Rangers is exactly the same. But he can't afford to disregard the cup competitions, including the Petrofac Training Cup.

At Rangers you have to try to win every competition you are competing in. The coaching staff and players can't take their foot off the pedal at any stage.
