THE latest revelations about the five Newcastle loan players - Remie Streete, Kevin Mbabu, Gael Bigirimana, Shane Ferguson and Haris Vuckic - have rightly upset Rangers fans.

The fact that we need to pay a fee to United if we go up to the Premiership, when three of the players will never play for the club, is a disgrace.

I think Mike Ashley has basically kicked Rangers in the nether regions, and very hard. With Derek Llambias and Barry Leach on the board and doing that deal, they could do what they wanted. The whole situation is absolutely ridiculous.

The five players are no use to Newcastle and four of them are no use to Rangers. The deal that means we need to pay Newcastle £500k should we win promotion and that is preposterous. We don't get anywhere near that in prize money.

It is nonsense and they have taken the mickey out of Rangers. The quicker the SFA can do something about it the better.

I fear there is nothing the current board can do, it was people who are now suspended from the club that sanctioned these deals, which obviously weren't for the benefit of the football club.

It was for the benefit of Newcastle United. It is absolutely ridiculous.

They knew exactly what they were doing. They knew that Bigirimana was ill and couldn't play, they knew that two of them - Mbabu and Ferguson - were injured and couldn't play. The sooner Rangers are rid of anything to do with Mike Ashley and Newcastle the better.

He is not interested in our club. All he is interested in is money. That is why he is a billionaire; he does good deals for himself.

But the people at Ibrox who were involved in it have a lot to answer for. It is scandalous.

There is no doubt the present board will try and do something about it but I don't know what, if anything, can be done here.
