Here's the bottom line...Scots need to get wins on the board

WE are not going to qualify for the World Cup in Brazil next summer, but that doesn't make the games against a Gareth Bale-inspired Wales and Serbia any less important.

If we don't win them and finish bottom of the group, we are going to move down another pot for the draw for the European Championships and that will make it even harder for us to qualify next time out.

I am fed up hearing from people that we have got a good squad of players and they work hard, but we need to get results.

We were not a great side when we were beating France home and away but we made ourselves difficult to beat and we made sure we got results.

That is what we have got to do under Gordon Strachan.

We need a winning mentality and we need to be winning matches. I don't care if it is the worst game in the world on Friday, we have got to win it.

I don't think we have got the players to allow us to go and really attack teams, even at Hampden.

Bale is the player everyone is talking about in Britain just now – he is in unbelievable form.

But you can't put too much emphasis on him and forget about the other 10 men on the pitch.
